OnePlus Nord 2 5G was recently launched through a live stream that took place on the One Plus India Youtube channel. The new smartphone is quite different from the original smartphones that have been launched so far. The latest model comes with a new Sony IMX766 sensor and the company also shared a camera sample ahead of its launch. One Plus tweeted the packaging of the phone which is quite similar to that of Nord’s packaging from 2020. The smartphone will also have three distinct colour options. The event had various clips showing people using AR.

The smartphone is packed with a camera system and an AI-powered performance and a competitive lineup of crucial smartphone features that make it nearly indistinguishable from a flagship phone.

  • One Plus Nord 2 comes with Oxygen OS 11.3.
  • It features Nord 2’s 90Hz Fluid AMOLED Display to provide a high refresh rate gaming experience.
  • The device comes with the Media Tek Dimensity 1200-AI flagship processor. It also comes with an Ultra-fast GPU which is supported by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage for ultra-fast speeds and smoothness.
  • As for the camera, the smartphone has a 50MP AI triple rear camera setup with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The sensor is made up of Sony IMX766 which is known for its flagship One Plus 9 series.
  • It also comes with support for recording videos in 4K resolution with 30fps. It will be absorbing 56% more light for capturing images with unparalleled levels of clarity, colour, and dynamic-no matter what time of the day.

  • The One Plus Nord 2 has dual 5G SIM Card slots. The company has also added Wi-fi 6 technology which supports download speeds up to 1.2 Gbps
  • Lastly, the smartphone is packed with a 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery. Whereas the inbuilt battery is paired with OnePlus’ proprietary Warp Charge 65 technology that works twice as fast as the 30 T from the original Nord. One will get a full day’s power in just 15 minutes.


The smartphone is available in three colours- Gray Sierra, Blue Haze and the India exclusive Green-Wood. The smartphone would also be shipped with Oxygen OS 11.3 out of the box which will have two years of Android updates and three years of security updates.

The company also launched the One Plus Buds Pro. The TWS earbuds feature 11 audio dynamic drivers and also support controls. It comes with a glossy finish which indicates which part is for touch-controls. The users can customise these earbuds with the help of the HeyMelody app and pair them with One Plus smartphones. The earbuds come with features like v5.2 adaptive noise cancellation, this will cancel out any external noises up to 40 dB. It comes with a total battery backup of 31 hours along with the case.

The One Plus Buds Pro costs around Rs 13,000.
