Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra recently took to her social media handle and decided to answer some fan questions. While she was at it, she made a revelation that left everybody astonished. Coming from a background of films, one would have presumed Chopra got into the industry as an actress without much hassle, right? However, that is not true. Before she forayed into acting, Parineeti Chopra worked as a PR for Anushka Sharma during Band Baaja Baaraat and revealed that she went from being Anushka’s PR to being her co-star in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl in just a time span of 3 months.
A fan asked Parineeti, “Say something about your Lady Crush Anushka Sharma.” Replying to this, Parineeti wrote, “I went from handling her interviews for Band Baaja Baarat to becoming her co-star in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl within 3 months. So cool na? Have always looked up to her since that time @anushkasharma.”
In response to the same, Anushka Sharma also shared Parineeti’s Instagram story, and wrote, “Big hugs.”
How did Parineeti get into movies?
Before making a foray into Bollywood, Parineeti Chopra was pursuing a triple honours degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School and aimed to take up a corporate job. However, the global recession at the time led to a dip in the job market, leading Chopra to consider a career in the films.
She spoke about the time when she was starting off in films to another leading daily and said “On one occasion, I was told that they required a much older woman and I looked too young for it. On the second occasion, I was told that they’d promised that role to somebody else. I like it when they’re honest. There are some directors on my wishlist and they remain so. Hope I get a chance to work with them one day,”
Parineeti Chopra will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming project, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. While speaking to another entertainment portal about the same, she said, “I am really, privileged and honored to be a part of the film. I wanted to work with Ranbir for a long time, so I’m excited to you know just be, on the sets and observe and learn from him.”
